It seems that no matter how you look at it Call of Duty has changed the gaming world forever. And there is now another DLC for Call of Duty Blake Ops called Escalation which includes 5 new maps called Zoo, Hotel, Stockpile, Convoy and Call of the Undead. All of the maps are unique to fit the players needs like providing good sniping points or good bombing places, but the best of all is the new maps for me is Call of the undead.

My favorite thing to be added to the Call of Duty franchise is ZOMBIES! and this map is no exception. Featuring one legendary writer and four cult horror actors including Michael Rooker, Robert England, Sarah Michelle Geller, and Danny Trejo. The map pack comes to Xbox 360 May, 3 2011 and to ps3 next month. I love COD and I will definitely be shooting Zombies on Call of the Dead. So check it out.

Killzone 3 is a first-person shooter developed by Guerrilla Games. The story starts right off where Sev a Special Opretive and a member of the Interplanetary “ISA” Strategic Alliance, is trying to destroy the Helghan Empire once and for all and with the dictator Visari dead Sev is left to deal with the massive attack against the ISA cruisers that the Helghast have planned.

The director of the game said that Killzone 3 is going to have a more light hearted approach on the story, but they said they would not make it too soft but instead take away from the constant intenseness of the story in the campaign.The gameplay is pretty much the same as Killzone 2 except for some minor adjustments, but the environments have changed dramatically changed from Killzone 2 and returned the landscapes back to Killzone’s roots with Alien jungles, Nuclear wastelands, Arctic landscapes and even a few space battles instead of just a city backdrop.

The multi-player of the game has three game modes Operations, Guerilla Warfare, and Warzone which is returning from Killzone 2 which includes the maps Body Count, Search and Destroy, Capture and Hold, Assassination and Search and Retrieve. There are many different editions like Helghast edition and collectors edition, but there is another called Limited Helghast Edition which there was only 1000 made and 125 were given away at the multi-player beta giveaway, but there will be other ways to obtain it going to be announced on the PlayStation Blog. I love the Killzone games because of their story and gameplay and I think if you own a PlayStation 3 you should give this game a try. So check it out!.

Killzone 2 is a first-person shooter developed by Guerrilla Games. Killzone 2’s campaign starts off with the Prologue where the ISA have conjured up a group of cruisers including the New Sun, and sent them to attack the Capital city of Helghan, Pyrrhus. The ISA ships were ready to start the final wave of attacks on the city, but the ships could not proceed any more because of the heavy Helghast defense and the Anti-aircraft guns.

The ISA decided, because they needed to take the city they send in Alpha Team “The players team” but right as they almost capture the city the Helghast start there Barrier of electric towers around the city, and with crippling the ISA assault team they have one last shot for victory.The game-play of the game is pretty much the same as the first.The player plays as Sergeant First Class Tomas “Sev” Sevchenko who is a member of the ISA and at the age of 25 the war has already taken a toll on him. The multi-player component of the game is called War-zone and is in conjunction with the story campaign of the game. The player plays either Helghast or ISA and the online is class based with an assortment of different classes to choose from to adapt to the battle.

The game comes with five different maps including Capture and Hold, Assassination, Search and Destroy, Body count, and Search and Retrieve. Online matches can consist of 2 to 32 players, if the match does not have 32 players you can add bots”Artificial Intelligence” but only in a unranked match. The game in the U.S. grossed 323,000 in the first 48 hours of release and as of April 16, 2009 the makers announced that it had sold over 1 million copies.

Call of Duty Black Ops is a first person shooter action, adventure game developed by Treyarh. The plot of the game is where former black operative Alex Mason is taken prisoner and tortured by unseen captors, interrogating him for answers about the operations and Mason has flash backs between 1961-1968. The player mainly takes control of Alex Mason and sometimes plays as Jason Hudson, and other characters as well.

The first mission starts off where Mason, Woods, and Bowman attempt to assassinate Fidel Castro and thats where Call of Duty: Black Ops starts.The Call of Duty series is known for having one of the best Multi-player ever created. And Black Ops continues that legacy by creating new and different game modes like Wager match where players put their game money on the line to see who’s the best. Who ever wins the match gets all the money and the others loose their money. And another game mode called Gun Game where all the players start off with randomly selected guns and after so many seconds the guns swap for another. The guns could be a pistol or a rocket launcher.

Black ops also brings back the addicting zombie mode from World at War featuring all new maps and one map called Five where the players play as one of four historical figures including Richard Nixon, Robert McNamara, Fidel Castro, and John F. Kennedy as they fight off zombies in the pentagon.The cast of the game include Sam Worthington as Alex Mason, Ed Harris as Jason Hudson, Gary Oldmen as Viktor Reznov from World at War and plays as Dr.Clarke, James C. Burns does Frank Woods voice and motion capture, Ice Cube as Joseph Bowman and many more cast members.

The first map pack called First Strike including new multi-player maps Berlin Wall, Kowloon , Discovery and Stadium, and a zombie map pack called Ascension. First Strike comes out for the Xbox360 on February 1, 2011 and a month later for playstation 3 and PC. There are several different versions Prestige, Normal, Hardened, and limited edition. Limited edition comes with four extra zombie map packs from World at World and one hidden mode called Dead Ops. I love the Call of duty series and I think you will also. So check it out.

Call of Duty is a first person action, adventure game developed by Infinity Ward. The player takes control of five different characters such as Private First Class Joseph Allen, Sergeant Gary “Roach” Sanderson, Private James Ramirez, briefly an unnamed International Space Station Astronaut right before the bomb went off, and Capitan John “Soap” McTavish.

The plot of Modern Warfare 2 takes away from modern day war and turns it to a fictional story where the Ultra nationalist take control of all of Russia. And Russia declares “besides the effort in Modern Warfare 1 to stop him” Imran Zakhaev a great man and a martyr for the greater good. Meanwhile Vladimir Makarov one of Imran Zakhaev’s lieutenants starts a campaign to attack Europe over the last five years.

Modern Warfare 2 features a new game mode called Spec Ops where players can test their skills in combat and team-up or go solo to play through different missions from snowmobile racing to holding offensive at a restaurant to earn stars and to unlock other Spec Ops missions.  And of course the addicting Multi-player is back and better than ever with a new rank system.

The game sold 4.7 million units in U.K. and the U.S. in it’s first 24 hours of release, making 310 million dollars in revenue. Call of duty has sure put an imprint on the gaming world and this one of the series is no exception. I think it is one of the best games of all time and I think you will to so check it out.

Call of Duty: World At War is an action, adventure game made by Treyarch. The player takes control of 3 different soldiers. A U.S. Navy Petty Officer Locke, Marine Private C. Miller and soviet soldier Dimitri Petrenko. The game takes place in many different historical places.

World at War starts players off as Private C. Miller held captured on the Makin island and was about to be sentenced to death by the japenese when the rescue squad lead by Sgt.Tom Sullivan and Corporal Roebuck breaks the prisoners out and strikes at the heart of the japanese camp.And then the game shifts to the Battle of Stalingard where a massacre of the Russians by the Nazi.

Where The player takes control of Soviet soldier Dimitri Petrenko one of the last in his squad finds himself in a water fountain with the Nazi’s patrolling killing the rest of his comrades joins forces with Sgt. Viktor Reznov who helps him, work his way through the broken buildings and join up with the rest of the squad. They continue their plan to kill the German general and after they kill the general the battle to stop the Nazi’s is on.

There is a new multi-player or solo mode added called NAZI ZOMBIES! It is pretty much never ending zombie slaying fun. The game comes with one zombie map called Nacht Der Undertoten. You can buy additional maps but it gives you a good taste of the zombies. World at War is personally my favorite Call of Duty due to it’s intenseness and action. So check it out.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 1 is a first person shooter game developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activision. This call of duty brings this series to the modern age of war. The player assumes the role of ether former British Special Air service recruit Sgt. John McTavish or nickname Soap who has now joined the 22 SAS or U.S. Marine Sgt. Paul Jackson.

Who are looking for terrorist leader Khaled Al-Asad and Imran Zakhaev who is aiding the terrorist in the war. The game takes you to many locations like Ukraine, Russia, Azerbaijan and many more. The game-play is the same as the other Call of duty games in the series except for new weapons and air strikes to attack off the terrorist force. The game features Multi-player mode that is based on who’s the best, because you can unlock attachments, weapons, perks, challenges and more. If you are a die-hard fan like Me then you now what great game series this is or if you have not this is a great place to start!

Metro 2033 is action adventure survival horror game made by THQ. Metro 2033 is set in Moscow, Russia after the apocoliptic event on 2012, but the year as you play is 2033. The player assumes the roll of Atryom who was found by a group of people and has been raised under ground, because he was only an infant when the event of 2012 happened.

Years later his colony finds that there are man-eating creatures coming out of the ground and decides that they must try to stop them to save humanity. But soon they figure out it’s not just the creatures that are lurking in the under-ground.The game-play of Metro 2033 is first-person shooter. The game is HUD-less, leaving the player to rely on the blood coming across the screen to know they are dying, but in some other ways when you go above ground and put on the gas mask you must count out the time to know when the filter runs out.

And with no screen display the player must refer to the map to check their location leaving them available to be attacked. Further time in the game Atryom will have flash-backs telling some of his back story. The game is based of the book called Metro 2033 written by a Russian author named Dimitry Glukhovsky. So check it out.

Uncharted Among Thieves is a third-person action adventure game made by Naughty Dog. The player asomes the role of Nathan Drake who wakes up wounded and confused on a train hanging of the side of a cliff. But soon drake will start to have flashbacks remembering that Harry Flynn and Chloe Frazer offered drake a opportunity to steal a Mongolian lamp in a museum and soon realizes that it is linked to treasures in one of Marko Polo’s ship that was lost in 1292 going from china to home.Uncharteds  game-play is just about the same as the first uncharted except for the melee attacks.

But in this Uncharted Naughty Dog added a new Multi-player system that allows players to play co-op mode with five team-mates or players can go in competitive mode. With this system it can lead to some major shoot-outs. And there is other modes like elimination, plunder, and more. There is a special edition called Fortune Hunter Edition that contains an Art book, official sound track, a replica of Phurba Dagger artifact, game and strategy guide, but it has not been said to be released in the U.S. So check it out.

Halo 3 ODST is the 4th game made so far in the Halo franchise. The much anticipated Halo game is now out in stores. Halo 3 odst follows the story of the the orbital, drop,”ODST” shock, trooper called Rookie. You play what was happing on the other side while Master Chief was fighting to destroy the flood. Rookie is not a super human like the Spartens, so that makes it to where he can not jump as high, or take as much damage.

The story evolves around Rookie as he is being drop down to earth with his squad Mickey, Romeo, Buck, Dutch and their team leader Dare. But he gets seperated when they are in the atmosphere and he colids with another pod he crashes on the planet and is unconcius for six hours, so now he needs to find clues to try to figure out what happend to his teammates.

For the first time ever Halo now has a fire-fight mode witch lets up to 4 players to battle through round after round of Covenant enemies. Halo 3 ODST came out on September, 22 2009 at 12:01 PM. I love the halo series and I think if you like shooter games you will like this. So check it out.
